The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration recently announced the start of dynamic testing of the Purple Line light rail vehicles. The Purple Line is a 16-mile, 21-station light rail line that will extend from Bethesda in Montgomery County to New Carrollton in Prince George’s County.

As the Hoggle family continues to grapple with the enduring mystery surrounding the disappearance of siblings Sarah and Jacob Hoggle over a decade ago, Hagerstown Police have confirmed that a missing teen found on Monday is not Sarah Hoggle. The teen was brought to the department by a concerned citizen, sparking community speculation that it might be Sarah before authorities verified her identity and contacted her family.

According to Maryland Lottery and Gaming, Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $172,105,632 in revenue from slot machines and table games during March 2025. The total was down $6,032,191 (-3.4%) from March 2024 when the casinos registered their fifth-best monthly gaming revenue performance ($178,137,823).
