Maryland Casinos Generate $158.1 Million in Gaming Revenue During November;  Contribute $68.9 Million to State

According to Maryland Lottery and Gaming, Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $158,122,302 in revenue from slot machines and table games during November 2024, an increase of $403,808 (0.3%) compared to November 2023. Casino gaming contributions to the state during November 2024 totaled $68,879,589, an increase of $2,729,307 (4.2%) compared to November 2023. The November 2024 contributions included $49,682,786 to the Education Trust Fund, an increase of $1,955,224 (4.2%) compared to November 2023.

Bowlero to Rebrand as Lucky Strike

Bowlero Corporation announced earlier this week that it will be rebranding to Lucky Strike Entertainment, effective December 12, 2024. As a part of this rebrand, Bowlero Corporation will also change its legal name to Lucky Strike Entertainment Corporation and its stock ticker symbol from NYSE: BOWL to NYSE: LUCK, further emphasizing the brand’s evolution.

Yelp’s Top 10 Places to Eat in the Maryland Suburbs

Yelp has released its “Top 50 Places to Eat in the MD Burbs”, focusing on restaurants located in the Maryland suburbs. We are going to look at the top 10 on this list that was created by “Yelp Elites”– a group of reviewers selected based on well-written reviews, high quality photos, a detailed personal profile, and a history of “playing well with others”, according to Yelp. Eight of the top ten restaurants can be found in Montgomery County.

4A State Final Preview & Prediction: Quince Orchard vs Wise

Some games transcend the typical Friday night spectacle, and this year’s state final between the Wise Pumas and Quince Orchard Cougars is one of them. Maryland Attorney General Shuts Down Charity Organization for Misleading Donors and Violating Solicitation Laws

The Johns Hopkins House, Inc. and its founder, Robert S. Brown, have been permanently banned from charitable soliciting in Maryland following a settlement over violations of the Maryland Solicitations Act, including misleading donors and misusing funds, according to Attorney General Anthony G. ESPN Highlights Allie Coyle, Who Became The First Woman to Lead a Boys Soccer Team to a Maryland State Title

Coach Allie Coyle became the first woman to coach a Maryland boys’ soccer team to a State Championship when Blair defeated Richard Montgomery 1-0 last month (see video below). On Monday, ESPN W highlighted Coyle’s accomplishment in a social media post that has received over 46k likes in 18 hours.

Task Force Shuts Down Illegal Car Rallies, Arrests 4 Juveniles, Recovers Stolen Vehicles

A joint operation by the Maryland Car Rally Task Force and partner law enforcement agencies dismantled ten illegal car rallies across Maryland, arrested five individuals (including four juveniles), recovered stolen vehicles, seized firearms, and charged one adult with multiple traffic offenses during a large-scale enforcement effort on November 30, 2024. One Maryland City Ranked As One of The “Worst Cities For Singles”

With nearly 46% of all U.S. adults being unmarried but dating getting progressively more expensive, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on the Best & Worst Cities for Singles in 2025, alongside its new Financial Secrets Survey, to help people maximize their chances of finding love without breaking the bank. One Maryland city was ranked almost dead last on the list.
