One year after celebrating its 50th anniversary, Armand’s Pizzeria & Grille in Rockville has announced it will permanently close. In a message shared with customers, owners Chris Sappe and Jim Hrozencik said the restaurant’s final day of operation will be June 20, 2026, ending a more than five-decade run serving DMV and Montgomery County residents in various locations.

Police in Brunswick, MD (Frederick County) are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing woman whose disappearance has prompted an outpouring of concern from family, friends, former coworkers, parents, and students.


Two Montgomery County Public Schools media specialists have been named among the top 10 finalists for the 2026 Maryland School Librarian of the Year award, a statewide honor recognizing exemplary service and outstanding achievement in school library media programs.

Maryland’s six casinos generated a combined $169.99 million in revenue from slot machines and table games in May 2026, down 3.7% compared to May 2025. Casino gaming contributions to the state totaled $75.14 million, including $54.12 million for the Education Trust Fund. (more…)


After months of anticipation, Sense of Thai has officially opened its first Maryland location at Westbard Square in Bethesda.

The new restaurant is located at 5314 Zenith Overlook, Suites #3 and #4, and brings the popular Northern Virginia-based concept across the Potomac for the first time.
