The Special Victims Division is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Hagan Rousseau, a missing 16-year-old. Rousseau was last seen on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at approximately 9:30 p.m., at the Dunkin Donuts in the 11000 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring. He is 5’7″, 145 lbs., with brown hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black shirt.

Montgomery County Police are continuing to investigate a “series of inappropriate touching” that occurred this spring on the Bethesda Trolley Trail. Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Patrol Investigations Unit are investigating a series of inappropriate touching committed by a suspect who groped women in the adjacent neighborhood along the Trolley Trail located between Edson Lane and Tuckerman Lane in Bethesda. Detectives have released video of the male suspect and are urging anyone who may be a victim of an inappropriate touching by this suspect to come forward.

The investigation by detectives has revealed that on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a female victim was walking on Nicholson Lane near the Kennedy Shriver Aquatic Center when she was approached by the suspect who was riding an electric scooter. The suspect then knocked her to the ground and groped her before she was able to escape and call police.


UPDATE: An update provided on Tuesday night by Alert Montgomery states that all lanes have reopened in both directions on Connecticut Ave (MD-185) between Chevy Chase Lake Dr. and Dunlop St.

Connecticut Ave. is closed in both directions between Chevy Chase Lake Dr. & Dunlop St. in Chevy Chase as the result of downed trees and wires, according to a tweet from Montgomery County Police. The Special Victims Investigations Division is asking for the public’s assistance in locating, Jozlynn Sanderson, a missing 16-year-old from Burtonsville. Sanderson was last seen on Saturday, August 21, 2023 at approximately 3:30 p.m., in the area of Scarlet Sage Court in Burtonsville/Silver Spring. She is 5’2″, 130 lbs., with black hair styled in two pony tails, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black ribbed turtleneck sweatshirt, black Nike shorts, and white Air Force 1 sneakers with white socks.

Per MCPD: 3rd District officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police have arrested 38-year-old Larry Goisse of Silver Spring for installing hidden cameras inside of an Airbnb bedroom that was rented by two guests on Friday, August 5, 2022. Detectives are urging anyone who may be a victim of this crime to come forward.

The investigation has revealed that a couple from Texas rented an Airbnb bedroom inside a residence in the 1100 block of Dale Drive in Silver Spring. After arriving at the location, the couple located hidden cameras inside smoke detectors in the bedroom and bathroom. The couple left the house and drove to the Target store on Cherry Hill Road in Silver Spring, where they reported the incident to the police.


UPDATE: Montgomery Mall bomb threat determined not valid. Mall has been cleared and turned back over to mall security.

Montgomery County Police tweeted the following on Friday, August 18, at 8:12pm:  “MCPD at Montgomery Mall for reported bomb threat. Mall being evacuated as a precaution. Currently investigating validity of the report. More information will be released when it is available.”


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section are investigating a burglary that occurred on Monday, August 7, 2023, at the Bone Jour store in the 4900 block of Del Ray Ave. in Bethesda. Detectives have released surveillance video of the suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.

The investigation has revealed that the rear door of the store was pried open, and a female suspect entered the store.  A bundle of permanent balloons was stolen from outside of the store.


Per MCPD: The Special Victims Division is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Tanease Callands, a missing 15-year-old.  Callands was last seen on Friday August 11, 2023, at approximately 2:30 p.m., in the 11200 block of Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring.  She is 5’5″, 130 lbs, with black hair, brown eyes, and a nose ring. She was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt, whitewashed jean shorts and grey Crocs.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that a gray Audi A6 was traveling southbound on Georgia Avenue when it struck a Red heavy duty Ford Truck and trailer that was attempting to turn onto northbound Georgia Avenue. The truck spun, detaching from its trailer and collided with a Chevy Traverse. The detached trailer then spilled into the road and was hit by a white Ford Taurus.


Per the Maryland Attorney General’s Office: The Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Office of the Attorney General today released the dashboard and body-worn camera footage from the fatal police-involved shooting that occurred on July 22, 2023, in Montgomery County.

 


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Auto Crime Enforcement Section (ACES) have arrested and charged 29-year-old Victoria Sok of Silver Spring with auto theft.  On Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m., detectives were proactively patrolling a neighborhood in Silver Spring when they located the suspect inside of a vehicle, that was reported stolen in Washington, D.C.

Detectives also determined that Sok has an outstanding out-of-state warrant. SOK was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where she was charged with auto theft related charges. She is being held without bond.
