Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating an armed carjacking that occurred in the 5500 block of Executive Blvd. in North Bethesda on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Detectives have released surveillance photos the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

At approximately 5:05 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to the 11300 block of Woodglen Dr. for the report of an armed carjacking that just occurred. The investigation by detectives determined that an adult female victim was walking away from her 2015 navy blue BMW 535i, that was parked in the 5500 block of Executive Blvd., when the unknown suspect approached her, demanded her keys and displayed a dark colored handgun. The victim threw her keys at the suspect and ran toward Woodglen Dr., where she called the police. The suspect left the area in the BMW, traveling on Woodglen Dr. toward Nicholson Ln.


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Christopher Sanchez, a missing 17-year-old from Silver Spring.

Sanchez was last seen on Saturday, June 10, 2023, in the 9000 block of Piney Branch Road. Sanchez is approximately 5-feet, 6-inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. Sanchez has a tattoo of a “$” behind his ear, “Catarina,” on his forearm and “Karina,” on his chest. It is unknown what clothing he was last seen wearing. Police and family are concerned for his welfare.


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Precious Destiny Battle, a missing 22-year-old from Silver Spring.

Precious was last seen on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., in the 12200 block of Plum Orchard Drive in Silver Spring. Precious is approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has brown eyes and long locks died gold and pink. She has a nose piercing and braces. She was last seen wearing a blue Denim shirt, light blue jeans and white Ked sneakers.  Police and family are concerned for her welfare.


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating William Edward Mease a missing 57-year-old from Germantown.

Mease was last seen on Friday, June 2, 2023, in the area of Doxdam Court. Mease is approximately 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He has brown hair. It is unknown what clothing he was last seen wearing.  Police and family are concerned for his welfare.


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police -3rd District Investigative Section are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, June 4, 2023, in the 900 block of Silver Spring Avenue. Detectives have released surveillance video of the suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.

The investigation has revealed that at approximately 5 a.m., the victims were walking along Mayor Lane when they were approached by three unknown suspects. One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and struck one of the victims in the head. The suspects then demanded property from the victims. The victims complied with the suspects’ demands. All three suspects then ran towards the 900 block of Thayer Avenue with the victims’ property.


On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Emebet, Rakeb and Meklit were last seen in the 8600 block of 16th Street in Silver Spring.  Emebet may be driving a 2018 Toyota RAV4 bearing Maryland license plate 2ET5079.

Emebet is 5-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs 126 pounds. She has brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes.  Rakeb weighs 28 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.  Meklit weighs 20 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.  Police and family are concerned for their welfare.


Per the Maryland Attorney General: The Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Office of the Attorney General today released dashboard and body-worn camera footage from the fatal vehicle pursuit involving Montgomery County Police on May 20, 2023, in Rockville. The decedent was previously identified as 37-year-old Lawrence White of Washington, D.C.

The IID will generally release body-worn camera and dashboard camera footage within 14 days of an incident. The release of the video footage of this incident was delayed to allow investigators to conduct witness interviews.


Alston was last seen on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at approximately 3 p.m. in the 14000 block of Perrywood Drive in Burtonsville.  Alston is approximately 5-feet, 1-inch tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair that she is currently wearing in braids.  She was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, black ripped jeans and blue and black Jordans. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.

At approximately 12:40 a.m., Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue Personnel responded to the 800 block of University Boulevard E. in Silver Spring for the report of a possible assault.   Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from trauma to his body. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.   The decedent has been identified as 30-year-old, Elmer Camacho-Aguilar.


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Zamya Santiago, a missing 14-year-old from Germantown.

Zamya Santiago was last seen on Friday, June 9, 2023, at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Locbury Court.  Zamya is approximately 5-feet, 1-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. Zamya has a nose piercing.  It is unknown what clothing she is wearing. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.


At approximately 8:17 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the location for the report of a carjacking. The investigation by detectives has revealed that when the adult male victim left his home to take out his trash, the juvenile suspect approached him from behind, violently threatened to harm him with a knife and demanded the key to the victim’s Honda Accord. The victim handed over the car key to the suspect who then drove away in the Honda.
