The retired nurses and government workers opted for the cash payout of $490,000 (after the prize was split), and plan to use the winnings for travel, a new car, and investments, while the second winning ticket, sold in Silver Spring, remains unclaimed. Maryland’s sports wagering market contributed $88.9 million to the state in Fiscal Year 2025, a 47.4% increase over the previous year, with $9.2 million generated in June alone.
