Mega Millions is introducing a new format on April 8, featuring a ticket price increase from $2 to $5, a higher starting jackpot of $50 million, and larger prizes at all levels, including a minimum prize increase from $2 to $10. The range for the Mega Ball number will be reduced from 1-25 to 1-24, while the main number selection remains unchanged. (more…)
According to Maryland Lottery and Gaming, Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $151,795,660 in revenue from slot machines and table games during January 2025, a decrease of $1,447,656 (-0.9%) compared to January 2024. Casino gaming contributions to the state during January 2025 totaled $63,651,034, an increase of $496,642 (0.8%) compared to January 2024. The January 2025 contributions included $45,992,850 to the Education Trust Fund, an increase of $343,541 (0.7%) compared to January 2024. (more…)
