The following is a press release by Montgomery County:

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, after consultation with County Health Officer Travis Gayles and based on data, has issued Executive Order 19-21AM that will reopen indoor dining at 25 percent capacity effective Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021 at 7 a.m. Under this Executive Order, indoor dining would be limited to a 90-minute dining period and alcohol sales will be suspended at 10 p.m. The executive order was approved today, Feb. 9, by the County Council.

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, County Health Officer Dr. Travis Gayles, and the County’s Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Director Dr. Earl Stoddard will host their weekly virtual media briefing on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 12:30 p.m.

In addition to accepting new applications, MCEDC will provide the original 793 recipients of the Restaurant Relief Grant Program with an automatic $5,000 supplemental grant from the Phase Two funds, provided that they are still open and meet all prior eligibility requirements. Given the closeness in time to the first round and to ease any burdens on restaurants to apply, previous Phase One recipients will not need to take any steps to directly apply for the $5,000 supplemental grant. Those original recipients will receive an email from MCEDC clarifying the details and timing of their Phase Two $5,000 supplemental grant. All grants will be distributed by March 15, 2020.
