Almost seven miles of bus-only lanes on state roads within Montgomery County will stay in place through at least December as part of an extended pilot project agreement among the Maryland and Montgomery County Departments of Transportation, and Metro.

At today’s Board of Education meeting, the authorization will be requested to receive and expend, subject to County Council approval, a Fiscal Year 2025 supplemental appropriation of $2,000,000 for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) to install vape detectors at each high school.
