In recent years, many restaurant owners have shared how difficult and time consuming the process to open a restaurant in Montgomery County can be. Today the Montgomery County Council unanimously approved executive regulations to reduce red tape and speed up the approval process for restaurant permitting.

Councilmembers Mink, Jawando, Sayles and Advocates to Hold Press Conference on Reparations Bill to Reinvest Recreational Cannabis Revenues in Communities of Color Harmed by War On Drugs

Councilmembers Kristin Mink, Will Jawando, and Laurie-Anne Sayles, along with Hashim Jabar, Co-Executive Director of Racial Justice NOW, and Olivia Spaccasi from the ACLU of Maryland, will host a press conference on Tuesday, July 16. They will discuss the Community Reinvestment and Repair Fund aimed at supporting populations affected by the War on Drugs.
