Below is a brief summary of events regarding the death of a person that occurred at the Middlebrook Mobile Home Park in Germantown, according to Montgomery County Police:
“At approximately 8:53 p.m., 5th District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the 19500 block of Frederick Road for the report of a stabbing.
Per Montgomery County: “Renowned writer Mahogany L. Browne, Lincoln Center’s inaugural poet-in-residence, will be the featured speaker at the Montgomery County Public Libraries’ (MCPL) “Contemporary Conversations” series in celebration of Black History Month.

Update: Police has stated “Watkins Mill High School is no longer on lockdown. The report was determined to be unfounded.” However, the school continued the lockdown following that communication.. An email went out to staff at 12:05 stating the school will move to a shelter-in-place with a closed lunch, and the announcement was made to the school at 12:19pm.
