New Hampshire Avenue is closed between Piney Branch Road and Adelphi Road while Prince George’s County Police investigate a vehicle collision in the Adelphi area.
Montgomery County health and emergency management officials are urging residents to take precautions as a prolonged heat wave is expected to impact the region through at least Friday, July 17. Heat index values, or “feels like” temperatures, could reach as high as 106 degrees, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses. (more…)
Montgomery County Police Department 5th District officers are on the scene of a mental health crisis involving an adult male at a home in the 19500 block of Frederick Road in Germantown.

Incidents included multiple aggravated assaults, weapons offenses, commercial and attempted residential burglaries, several vehicle thefts, catalytic converter thefts, two weapons discharge investigations, an officer-involved shooting, and the recovery of firearms and suspected drugs.
