During today’s Montgomery County Council meeting, Dr. Anthony Fauci thanked the council and community leaders for their response to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a report in the Baltimore Business Journal, Miami based Mayorga Organics will be moving its roastery and distribution center from Rockville to Baltimore later this year.
Enterprise Purchases $29,600 in Gift Cards to Local Restaurants for its Employees
On March 5th, Enterprise Rent-A-Car gifted all 80,000 of it’s employees (full and part-time) a $100 gift card to a local restaurant for Employee Appreciation Day. That included 296 of its workers here in Montgomery County.

A brand new food truck named Tacos Borrachos (drunken tacos), will be coming soon to Wilkins Ave. in Rockville. Their signature item will be birria tacos, the popular Mexican style street taco that is served with a side of consommé.

Peter “Kane” Deibler Has Passed Away
Peter Deibler, better know as “Kane” from The KANE Show, passed away over the weekend at Shady Grove Hospital after a long illness. The KANE Show was a popular FM morning drive program that aired on WIHT Hot 99.5 from 2006 until April 2020. The show was broadcasted out of the IHeartMedia studios at 1801 Rockville Pike in Rockville.
Potomac Petals & Plants (former site of Behnke’s) is Closing
Potomac Petals & Plants, located at 9545 River Rd, announced on social media that they were currently running a store closing sale. The site of the nursery is going to be redeveloped into a senior community.
