2020 has been a difficult year for restaurants. A few weeks ago we released a list of restaurants that have closed since March 17th.(not necessarily due to Covid, but since the day the initial restrictions were put in place).

While that list is long, there are still plenty of restaurants planning to open in MoCo in 2021.

Montgomery County Firefighters and Paramedics from Germantown Stations 729 and 734 responded along with Montgomery County 5th District Police Officers responded to Ridge Road near MD-355 Frederick Road shortly before 10AM Sunday for a car crashed into a tree.


Rockville’s Mayorga Organics Donates Over $145K to Producer Communities

If you’re unfamiliar with Mayorga Organics, they are a Rockville-based company that offers organic coffee and various food items like seeds, grains, and beans. Their purpose is to eliminate systemic poverty in Latin America through responsible trade of artisanal organic foods.

The result of every matchup can be found in the “Best Pizza” highlight.⁣

We included every restaurant that was nominated. We did not include any restaurant that has most of its locations outside of MoCo, unless it started in MoCo. If a restaurant isn’t included, it’s for one of the two reasons mentioned.


Two Suffer Life-Threatening Injuries After Beltway Rollover

Around 1:40PM Saturday, Montgomery and Fairfax County Firefighters responded to the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway (I-495 North) between Persimmon Tree Road and River Road for a reported overturned vehicle. Responders found a vehicle that had ran off the roadway and struck a large, ground-mounted sign before overturning.
