The Olney House, where Ricciuti’s is located, was recently sold. It has been a familiar landmark in Olney for 200 years. The house and the springhouse are the only remaining historic sites at the intersection of the old Brookeville-Washington Pike and the Sandy Spring-Mechanicsville Road.

We’ve been sitting on this one for a while, but it’s finally official and our friends over at Carmen’s Italian Ice will open a second location at the old Rita’s spot in Olney (3233 Spartan Road).

We announced that Rita’s would be closing permanently back in Olney and heard various rumors about what may move in, but we’re happy to hear it’ll be locally-owned Carmen’s.

Dr. Bobby Mozafari, a 2001 graduate of Sherwood High School, opened his clinic in Olney back in 2014 so that he could deliver quality chiropractic care to many of his friends in his hometown.

2020 brings a new start for Dr. Mozafari and his office, as they’ve moved down the road to Laytonsville. Now located at 6860 Olney Laytonsville Road, next to the Office Cafe & Lounge, the insurance based clinic is ready to roll.
