The City of Rockville has moved closer to approving a new Chase Bank with a drive-thru at the site previously occupied by Meixin Supermarket. Meixin Supermarket was a popular Asian market in the area, but it closed about two years ago; the site, located at 460 Hungerford Dr, Rockville, MD 20850, has been vacant ever since.
In August of 2019, Bohler Engineering initially submitted the site plan and pre-application for the proposed Chase Bank at the Meixin site. Planning and development are gradual processes, and last week, Rockville’s Planning Department formally accepted the site plan for the bank, deeming it complete.
Kosmo Nail Bar will open at Montrose Crossing in Rockville, MD on Wednesday, November 18th. This is the third Kosmo Nail Bar in the metro region with locations in Annapolis, MD and McLean, VA.

A List of Restaurant Closures in MoCo Since March 17th, 2020
Though this isn’t a list of closures caused by the pandemic, since there is no way to determine every reason behind a closure, 17% of restaurants (over 110,000) have closed since the time it started, according to Business Insider.

O.A.R. Embraces Their Rockville Roots
It was 2014 and the band O.A.R. was releasing its eighth studio album. After becoming an international success and touring all around the world it seemed fitting to go back to where they started and name their album “The Rockville LP,” after their hometown in Montgomery County, MD.

“Free packets of masks will be distributed in Rockville from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18 as part of the Maryland Department of Health’s #MasksOnMaryland campaign to encourage all Marylanders to wear face coverings in public places to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
We stopped by Mahshad Modern Persian Kitchen, a new restaurant that opened this past June in King Farm, to pick up some dinner.
The restaurant describes itself as having a “new version” of Persian cuisine and offers local, organic food for everyone.
