Retail real estate developers, EDENS, purchased the shopping center in 2016 and has gotten the wheels turning on some pretty big changes.

Here are a few of the restaurants coming to Cabin John Village later this year, according to an EDENS press release from a couple months back:


Metropolitan Ballet Theatre presents a different full-length ballet each spring, and this year’s production of “Alice in Wonderland,” is sure to delight audiences of all ages!

You’ll watch curious young Alice’s adventures with mischievous and comical characters such as the White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, Duchess, the Cheshire Cat, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, the Caterpillar, the dancing roses, swirling cards, and the Queen of Hearts.

About Commonwealth Indian:
Commonwealth Indian, opening in the former space of La Madeleine on Old Georgetown Road, will feature Indian specialties, including Khansama ke Tari Wala Murgh—a curry chicken and Angrezi–butter chicken It will have a full bar with Indian beers and wines, and specialty Indian cocktails. A champagne brunch will be served on both Saturday and Sunday.“We selected Pike & Rose for Commonwealth because the neighborhood that has a high volume of weekday and weekend foot traffic and is filled with families and professionals,” shared the Ownership team.


While there’s a lot of campaigning left to do, I decided to put together a panel of six people that are pretty involved in the happenings within our county so that we can figure out which candidates may be leading this race a few months before the primaries.

The Rockville location will be their first on the east coast and will be joining Cava and Honeygrow at Montrose Crossing. These very strong fast casual restaurants will quickly help us forget about Timpano Italian Chophouse, the restaurant that was demolished to make way for the current structure that is home to the fast-casual eateries.

Slapfish is planning on opening over a dozen Mid-Atlantic locations in the coming years. The Montrose Crossing location in Rockville will open in the late spring/early summer.
