Back in August we let you know that Bao Bei will open at Montrose Crossing in Rockville. Permanent signage is now up at 12055 Rockville Pike and a spring opening is expected– likely sometime in April (photo below).

In October, Buy Buy Baby announced that it will be closing all existing stores and transforming into a digital-first brand “focusing all our energy on providing an exceptional online shopping experience.” As the last of the remaining stores set to close, the Buy Buy Baby brand has been purchased by the owner of Bed Bath & Beyond. The first Buy Buy Baby store opened in Rockville, MD in 1996.

Chef José Andrés’ Spanish Diner will close its doors on Wednesday, February 5. The restaurant, which opened in Spring 2021 at 7271 Woodmont Avenue in Federal Realty’s Bethesda Row, was formerly home to Jaleo and served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (more…)

Tea-Do X Mochinut at 838 Rockville Pike enclosed permanently last October. The dual concept restaurant featured menus from chains Mochinut and Tea-Do Cafe. At the time a new business was promised and now we know that it will be Cuppa Tea.
