Big Greek Cafe opened its ninth location at 8874 McGaw Rd in Columbia, MD a couple months back. The Maryland-based chain that started in Downtown Silver Spring has now merged with VA-based Souvlaki Bar and will open four new location in Virginia next year.

TOUS Les JOURS is now open at 1 Grand Corner Ave in Gaithersburg’s Rio Lakefront. TOUS Les JOURS is located in the space that was previously occupied by Corner Bakery, which closed back in February after nearly 25 years in business. (more…)
Yelp has released its 2024 list of “Top 100 Chinese Restaurants” across the country and two Maryland restaurants (including one in Montgomery County) have made the list.
In October, we reported that the Big Lots at 20926 Frederick Rd in the Milestone Shopping Center, Germantown, would be permanently closing. It now appears that the Montgomery Village Center location, along with the chain’s remaining 900+ stores, will also close.
Sixty Vines, the restaurant known for its revolutionary wine on-tap program and vineyard-inspired cuisine, is making its move into Maryland. It was previously reported that the restaurant signed on in Bethesda and now business filings show Gaithersburg’s Downtown Crown neighborhood as an address for a “Sixty Vines Montgomery County, LLC” taking over 212 Ellington Blvd– the former home of Pour House.
Dirty Dough is now open at 36B Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square. The cookie and dessert shop is located in the space that was the longtime home of Berry Cup, which closed in the summer of 2022. We have a first look video available below
