Two new restaurants from Metropolitan Hospitality Group (MHG) are expected to open at The Collection at Chevy Chase in the fourth quarter of 2026, marking the locally owned restaurant group’s first expansion into Maryland. They’ll be replacing the recently closed Junction Bistro, Bar, and Bakery and The Hunter’s Hound.
Maryland Restaurant Week returns for its sixth year from September 18 through September 27, bringing restaurants from across the state together for ten days of special menus, discounts and promotions.
Maurizio’s in Potomac is the only Maryland restaurant featured on Eater DC’s list of “Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings Around D.C. This Fall 2026.”

The Takoma Park-Silver Spring Food Co-op (TPSS Co-op) is moving forward with plans to open a second store in the region and is launching a $2.4 million member investment campaign to help fund the expansion.
