Sad news for pizza lovers as Pizza CS in Rockville has announced they’ll be closing in the coming months.
After eating a late lunch at Don Pollo in Gaithersburg this afternoon, I was told that they will be opening a new location in Downtown Silver Spring.
It will be located around 905 Ellsworth Drive in the spot that was home to Noodles & Co.
After a long wait, MoCo’s first Hip Hop Fish & Chicken is now open!
The restaurant is located in Briggs Chaney shopping center in the spot that used to be home to Marina’s Pollo A La Brasa (13820 Old Columbia Pike).
Shan’s Halal Food will be taking over the location next to Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Burtonsville Town Square.
Back in April of 2018 it was announced that The Block (theblockva.com) food hall was crossing the river and coming to Pike & Rose (they have a location in Annandale, VA).
We’re told The Block currently plans to open its MoCo location on November 22, less than 10 days from now.

The Golden Samovar has closed in Rockville Town Square. The Russian and Central Asian restaurant opened in the summer of 2016 in the old Cosi location at 201 N. Washington Street.
Samovar had previously closed temporarily a couple times due to flooding, but after calling the restaurant today we were told this one is permanent.

Eerkin’s Uyghur Cuisine is opening in Rockville tomorrow (Tuesday, 11/12).
Uyghur cuisine reflects the cooking styles of many ethnic groups of the Xinjiang region, and refers particularly to central Asian food. Signature dishes include roasted mutton, kebabs, roasted fish, noodles, chicken and rice.
