Their brunch will feature dishes like short rib frittata and avocado smash toast to go along with their daily menu and $5 mimosas. Brunch will be a la carte.
Childhood friends Ike Grigoropoulos (Gaithersburg High School), Dimitri Moshovitis (Quince Orchard High School), and Ted Xenochristos (Paint Branch High School) opened the restaurant in 2006.
The Eleanor, a neighborhood ‘bowling lounge’; a comfortable, casual dining and drinking establishment with the addition of skee ball, mini bowling and other games, is coming to Downtown Silver Spring.
This morning Biz Journals reported that Downtown Silver Spring will undergo a $10 million overhaul that will include the 7,700 square foot bowling lounge.
Initially founded as a hotdog cart in 1990, The Halal Guys made the switch to chicken, gyro meat, and pita two years later. The first brick and mortar restaurant opened in New York in 2015 and the company hasn’t looked back since, opening over 70 brick and mortar locations.
Halal Guys will be located at 522 N Frederick Ave, next to T-Mobile.
We do not have an opening date for Ninja Sushi.
Asian Burrito and Rice Bowl will serve sushi-like burritos (think giant sushi rolls…the size of burritos) and rice bowls as their entrees. Other items include Korean chicken, Taiwanese chicken nuggets, and tuna/chicken sandwiches.
They are open and ready for business.

Though we currently don’t have information on what kind of restaurant this will be, we know it will take the place of the recently closed Paisano’s at 8213 Georgia Ave.
With that news, Taco Bar Olney is expected to open at some point in the next two weeks in the old Jerry’s location at 18100 Georgia Avenue.
They offer a reasonably priced all-you-can-eat buffet and even offer a carry-out version of their buffet (prices available here).
