County Council to Hold a Hearing and Vote Tomorrow on COVID-19 Regulations
The Montgomery County Council will be meeting to introduce, hold a public hearing, and vote tomorrow at 1:30PM on a Board of Health Regulation to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Enterprise Purchases $29,600 in Gift Cards to Local Restaurants for its Employees
On March 5th, Enterprise Rent-A-Car gifted all 80,000 of it’s employees (full and part-time) a $100 gift card to a local restaurant for Employee Appreciation Day. That included 296 of its workers here in Montgomery County.

Crown Fried Chicken Homemade Waffle & Breakfast is now open at 9120 Rothbury Dr. in Montgomery Village (next to Athens Grill).
March 5th Jollibee Update
Westfield Wheaton has posted on their social media accounts that Jollibee is working “extremely hard to bring you a jolly grand opening” and will make an announcement seven days before their “official opening date.”.
It has been over a year and a half since we let you know that True Food Kitchen would be taking over the old Joe’s Crab Shack location in Rio (221 Rio Blvd Ste 0221, Gaithersburg, MD)
At the end of the summer the restaurant had made progress with the exterior, but the interior had a lot of work left to go. There hasn’t been any progress since then (as seen in the photos below).
Colada Shop is Coming to Cabin John Village
Rumors of one of the trendiest social spots in DC, Colada Shop, coming to MoCo began swirling in December when a reader sent us a map of Cabin John Village that listed Colada Shop in the old Le Pain Quotidien location, next to CAVA.
Seoul Spice is Coming to Montgomery Mall
Seoul Spice, a fast casual Korean restaurant that opened its first location in DC in 2015, is coming to MoCo.
Remembering Sir Walter Raleigh Inn
Sir Walter Raleigh Inn is fondly remembered for being a not-so-expensive steak house with a great salad bar that was included with your meal. Suitable for a homecoming dinner or birthday celebration, the Montgomery Village location (now the site of CVS), closed back in 2005. What many people might not know, is that Sir Walter Raleigh had multiple locations throughout the DC Metro area.
According to signage on the windows, BB.Q Chicken will be coming to 2235 Bel Pre Rd in Silver Spring. They will be replacing Fu Lin Restaurant, which closed only three days ago on February 21st. BB.Q Chicken, a global chain of restaurants offering Korean fried chicken and more, has another Montgomery County location at 9712 Traville Gateway Dr in Rockville.
The “BB.Q” stands for “Best of the Best Quality”. The restaurant’s menu offers a wide variety of starters, including waffle fries with nacho cheese, kimchi chicken sliders, and many different flavors of their olive chicken strips. Entrees include half/whole chicken, boneless chicken, garlic chicken, and many different flavors of wings. They also have sandwiches, soups, salads, and plenty of homemade sides.
