Washingtonian Magazine has released its list of the “100 Very Best Restaurants in Washington, DC” with two Pike & Rose restaurants making the list:

Kabuto, a Japanese restaurant located at 220 East Middle Ln in Rockville that offers hibachi, sushi, and ramen, closed at some point Tuesday and remained closed on Wednesday. The restaurant has told us it was a temporary closure due to illness, but will be reopening today (Thursday at 4pm).

Moby Dick has signed on to join FiveGuys, Chipotle, Java Nation, and more at the Kensington Shopping Center, per Danny Rubin of WashUrban.
Tony Conte of Inferno Pizzeria Napoletana, located at 12207 Darnestown Rd. in Gaithersburg, has been nominated for a James Beard Award for best Chef in the Mid-Atlantic region (DC, DE, MD, NJ, PA, VA).
M&N’s Pizza at 4914 Del Ray Ave in Bethesda has come in at #82 on Yelp’s Top 100 US Restaurants of 2024 list.

Back in March we let you know that a sushi buffet would be moving in to the space that was home to Miller’s Alehouse from 2012-2022. In December we let you know that it’ll be a different restaurant that will be moving in, but things have gotten a little more complicated as the restaurant moves closer towards openings.
Sticky Fingers, the beloved woman-owned DC-based bakery from two-time Cupcake Wars champion, Doron Petersan, is now sweetening up more of the DMV. Its latest retail outlet and flagship commercial kitchen opens its doors on Tuesday, January 23rd in the Takoma neighborhood of DC, at 314 Carroll Street NW, across from the Takoma Metro Station. The bakery takes over the space formerly occupied by Soupergirl, and will carry Soupergirl soups in its grab-and-go section.

EDENS is celebrating the Grand Opening of Montgomery County’s first Sprouts this weekend in the renovated Burtonsville Crossing and has also let us know that the shopping center mainstay Burger King will continue operations at Burtonsville Crossing, while undergoing a comprehensive remodel.
