Co-founders Nick Wiseman, David Wiseman and Ronen Tenne plan to open a Little Sesame restaurant at 7118 Bethesda Lane, Bethesda, Maryland, later this year, proudly joining the stellar line up of restaurants and retail in downtown Bethesda.

The opening will be the hummus brand’s first outpost outside of DC. Little Sesame is excited to bring their freshly spun hummus, seasonal pita sandwiches to the neighborhood. The fan favorite shawarma-spiced rotisserie family meals will  join the menu as the perfect dinner choice along with a curated selection of quality beer, natural wine, and low ABV canned cocktails. Nick Wiseman says: We’ve always wanted to open a shop in Bethesda” notes Wiseman “We got such a warm welcome to our Sugar Fox Pop Up and the Bethesda Central Farm Market and we’re thrilled to plant permanent roots in this community.” 


Early in July we let you know that Tiger Sugar, a boba/bubble tea spot known for is brown sugar bubble tea with unique “tiger stripe” design, would be coming to Rockville. 

The Grand Opening event will take place this Saturday, August 28th and the first 100 orders will receive free Tiger Sugar merchandise.


Tipico Dominicano, which started as a food truck on New Hampshire Avenue in Takoma Park and Georgia Avenue in Wheaton, has taken over the recently closed Flor De Luna location at 11417 Woodglen Drive in Rockville.

The restaurant offers Dominican specialties like picadera (finger foods you can eat with your hands), salami frito (fried salami), queso frito (fried cheese), chicken/cheese/beef pastelitos, and more.


Earlier this month ThinkFoodGroup restaurants in the D.C. region require proof of vaccination to dine indoors for people who are 12 and older.

This includes Spanish Diner, which opened in Bethesda this past May in the location that was formerly home to Jaleo.


It has been about a year and a half since Bar Louie closed both MoCo locations.While we reported the replacement for the Wheaton location back in June, the Rockville location replacement remained a mystery– until now.

Federal Realty has included two new tenants in its latest site plan and tenant roster, and it looks as though Lagos Bar & Grill will be taking over the 6,599 square foot location that used to be home to Bar Louie in Rockville Town Square.


Back in May we let you know that Kobe Japan Hibachi And Sushi was coming to the Hampshire-Langley Shopping Center at 1163 University Blvd E in Takoma Park, according to its website.

The restaurant has since opened, according to its social media accounts. The location used to be home to Chinatown restaurant. No time frame has been provided for the opening.


George Lopez has joined the trend of celebrities teaming up with ghost kitchens with his newest venture, George Lopez Tacos.

The virtual restaurant is now available on delivery apps and is delivering food from The Greene Turtle in Burtonsville. Delivery ranges vary, but depending on the app can cover places as far as parts of Rockville and Gaithersburg.


Tropical Smoothie Café opened earlier this week in the Aspen Hill shopping center (13531 Connecticut It has taken over the space of the old My Eye Dr. location, which has recently moved within the shopping center.

The cafe offers more than just smoothies as the menu contains flatbreads, wraps, quesadillas, sandwiches, bowls, breakfast, and a lot more.
