Join us this Saturday, March 24th, for our 2018 Maryland Day BEER Festival at Downtown Crown!
A marquee celebration and showcase of Maryland’s incredible brewing scene! We’re shutting down Crown Park Avenue in the Downtown Crown shopping center to feature 20 MD breweries, 62 total beers, beers canned and/or brewed for the occasion, food from participating Crown restaurants, live music, and more!

The new plan, which is about half the size of the older plan, now looks very similar to Downtown Crown in Gaithersburg. Regency Centers made these changes after community residents voiced concerns over the previous plans.

I called the Crown location in Gaithersburg to confirm and ask about their future. They were able to confirm the closing and told me there’s no plan to close the Gaithersburg location.

Since I’m a huge fan of lists, I wanted to create an accurate list of the “best” places to buy in MoCo. In order to make this list accurate I asked local realtor, Jonathan Fox, to help me break down the county’s “best” areas and include a few up and coming areas that he thinks are due for a dramatic increase in price over the coming years. In the mid-80s, Aris Mardirossian opened his convenience store named “6-Twelve,” based on the worldwide chain 7-Eleven (7,400 stores in North America with hundreds more across the world at the time).
By 1990, his Gaithersburg-based chain grew to 20 stores and there were rumors that he would be purchasing 600 7-Eleven stores in the DMV (the rumors were denied by 7-Eleven executives).
