The Maryland Board of Public Works has approved more than $4.3 million in Greenspace Equity Program grants to support 20 projects enhancing public green spaces in underserved communities across 14 counties.
Maryland Governor Wes Moore joined Pepco, BGE, Delmarva Power, and nonprofit partners to launch a $19 million Customer Relief Fund, funded by Exelon, to assist limited- and moderate-income residents with rising energy bills, with Pepco customers eligible for up to $300 in grants starting in July.
Attorney General Anthony Brown joined 21 states and the Governor of Kansas in filing an amicus brief supporting California’s request to block the federalization of its National Guard, arguing the action was an overreach of presidential authority and could undermine public safety and constitutional rights.
