On Tuesday night, Montgomery County Police 3rd District officers, using License Plate Reader technology, identified a stolen vehicle in downtown Silver Spring, leading to a short pursuit that ended with the fleeing on foot and being apprehended with assistance from the Prince George’s Police Department’s helicopter “Guardian.” (more…)
Brian Fleury, a 1997 state championship winning quarterback at Seneca Valley, has been promoted be head coach Kyle Shanahan to running game coordinator in addition to his duties as the team’s tight end coach. Fleury to has gone to two Super Bowls as a member of the 49ers coaching staff.
On Tuesday, the Montgomery County Council unanimously passed Bill 6-25, Consumer Protection for Renters, removing an exemption for landlord/tenant issues under Consumer Protection law, allowing the County to pursue stronger legal action against landlords who repeatedly violate housing codes. Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Zoie Alexxia Hunt, a missing 13-year-old.
Hank Azaria, best known for voicing Moe Szyslak, Chief Wiggum, and Apu Nahasapeemapetilon on The Simpsons, will perform at Montgomery College’s Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center in Rockville on Friday, October 24. (more…)

The Frederick Police Department arrested 27-year-old Tevis Denver Findlater of Silver Spring for assault and drug possession after responding to a disturbance on March 31 in the 900 block of W. Patrick Street. Officers found a female victim with severe injuries and seized approximately 30 grams of suspected cocaine from Findlater, who is being held without bond.
