Kareem’s Lebanese Kitchen is now officially open at Rio in Gaithersburg following a weeklong soft opening phase. Our very own “Mr. MoCo” Alex Tsironis stopped by on opening day and shared a first-look video, which can be seen below.
Work is continuing, even over the weekend, at the future Xi’an Famous Foods location in Rockville. Construction remains in its early stages, but the restaurant could potentially open later this year.

MUI Supper Club, a high-end Japanese restaurant specializing in A5 wagyu, omakase and theatrical tableside dining, is aiming to open at Pike & Rose by the end of September. The restaurant will also offer a limited membership program, with annual tiers ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 and benefits such as priority reservations, private dining experiences and access to off-menu dishes. UNIQLO will open its newest Washington DC area store in Georgetown on Friday, August 28. The store will be taking over the 22,000 SF space that was previously home to J.Crew.
