We first let you know that Two Hands Seoul Fresh Corn Dogs would be coming to Westfield Wheaton Mall back in Novermber, 2020. We are now being told the restaurant is expected to be open in February of 2022.
The Korean Corn Dog restaurant will be taking over the former Tevana space located in the mall’s upper level. Two Hands currently has locations in Centerville, VA and Houston, TX.
Ssong’s Hotdogs, a popular South Korean chain, is opening what was the second announced U.S. location in the Montgomery Mall food court (it’ll now be the third to open).
The original plan was to open this November, which is still the date listed on the Ssong’s website, but we’re told there have been delays with construction so things are pushed back a bit.
Poke Papa Montgomery Mall Permanently Closed
We just learned that Poke Papa, a Hawaiian inspired poke bowl spot, has permanently closed their Montgomery Mall location.
The Lego Store is Now Open in Montgomery Mall
The newest Lego Store in our area is now open in Montgomery Mall and its not just for kids as the store has Lego sets for all ages.
Moorenko’s is Coming to Montgomery Mall.
The ice cream shop will take over the large kiosk location that was previously home to Cookie Dough & Co. near the former Sears location on the lower level.

Canadian specialty tea shop, DAVIDsTEA, has announced that it will close all U.S. locations and move towards online sales.
The company has 42 stores the United States, including two in Montgomery County located in Montgomery Mall and the Clarksburg Outlets.
Montgomery Mall and Wheaton Mall have closed temporarily.
Westfield, who owns and operates both malls, released the following statement:
Amazon 4-Star is coming to Montgomery Mall.
The new concept store will carry a curated selection of products from the top categories across Amazon.com, including devices, electronics, toys, games, books, kitchen + homeware, and more.
Pepe’s Pizza, Lego Store, Peking Duck, and 7 Eleven are all scheduled to open in Montgomery Mall this year.
Though we’ve touched on all of these except the Lego Store in the past, Westfield Montgomery has now posted expected opening dates for all of these future locations.
