Below are the latest updates on five restaurants coming soon to Wheaton Mall.
Warrior Canine Connection Now at Lakeforest Mall
Warrior Canine Connection, a therapeutic service dog training program for veterans that is based out of Boyds, MD, has opened a new location on the lower level of Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg.
MINISO, a Japanese themed novelty store, has opened on the first floor of Montgomery Mall (7101 Democracy Blvd) next to Macy’s.
According to Westfield Montgomery, “MINISO is a Japan-based, designer brand that places value on their quality, simplistic design, and low price. The global brand operates in over 40 countries, and has over 1,800 stores across the globe. Following their fast-fashion style, the company also launches new products every week – keeping up with trends. Miniso uniquely combines fashion and simplistic lifestyle to give quality products at affordable price”.
Holy Cross will be opening a cancer treatment facility at the former location of Circuit City in Wheaton. The location was most recently home to the Anna Mendez School.
Construction on the project began this past week and the scheduled opening date is August 2022.
We let you know back in November that Jongro BBQ, a popular New York Korean BBQ restaurant, is opening up shop at Wheaton Mall. The latest update we have received from Westfield Wheaton is that the restaurant is expected to open in January, 2022.
The restaurant is known for its wide variety of cuts that are not found in most other Korean restaurants. According to their website, their “beef and pork are produced with only natural feeds.”
Suki Hana is coming to the food court at Wheaton Mall. It will be taking over the space previously occupied by Sarku Japan.
The restaurant is expected to be open by December.

Hook & Reel Wheaton Update
Hook & Reel at 11160 Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton, (Wheaton Mall), could be opening this December, according to a representative from Westfield Wheaton. They are currently working on the exterior of the building.

Sydney’s Burger located inside of Wheaton Mall has announced it will be holding its grand opening on October 29. The menu features hamburgers, turkey burgers, salmon burgers, wings, breakfast items, and quesadillas.
A representative from the restaurant said the delay in opening has been due to the long wait for equipment to arrive. The location is currently hiring for all positions. Take a look at their menu and the interior of the restaurant below.
