Panera Giving Free Bagels to Vaccinated Customers This Weekend
From July 2-4, Panera Bread will be giving anyone who has received the COVID-19 vaccine a free bagel. One per costumer and you have to visit the store to receive the bagel, no online ordering apps/delivery.
Happening Now: Multicar Accident on Veirs Mill Road
There was a multi car accident on Veirs Mill Rd. near the intersection of Gaynor Rd. around 2:30pm on Tuesday afternoon. On-site witnesses tell us that there were a total of nine cars involved.
Yesterday we reported that Kobe Japan Hibachi And Sushi is coming to the Hampshire-Langley Shopping Center at 1163 University Blvd E in Takoma Park, according to the restaurants website. Today we can confirm that Kobe Japan is also coming to the newly redeveloped Montgomery Village Shopping Center.
According to the sitemap on the klnb Commercial Real Estate website, Kobe Japan will be located next to Moe’s SouthwestGrill in the shopping center.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe Sets Opening Date at Aspen Hill Shopping Center
Tropical Smoothie Café will open on June 22nd in the Aspen Hill shopping center. It will be taking the place of the old My Eye Dr. location, which has recently moved within the shopping center.
Collision With Vehicle Fire in Silver Spring
Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service Pete Piringer reports a single vehicle crashed into several parked cars in the 14900 blk of Hatteras Way near Park Vista Dr. in Silver Spring.

Shepherd’s Table is offering free prepared meals every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5-6PM at Parkland Middle School (4610 West Frankfort Dr.) in Aspen Hill.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Patrol Investigations Unit have charged Marvin Randall Carnes, age 50, of the 4900 block of Blackfoot Road in College Park and Dorian Terrance Coley, age 35, of the 6400 block of 16th Street in Northwest, Washington, D.C., with multiple counts of theft-related offenses. Carnes and Coley stole over $10,000 worth of copper wire and tools from Home Depot stores in Montgomery County and later pawned the stolen merchandise.

Earlier today, Ben Lesnick tweeted us the door dash account for the restaurant in Aspen Hill many have known as Jerry’s for years. While the menu and logo looked the same, the restaurant was now being referred to as Jay’s Subs and Pizza.
