Drivers in the area will begin seeing flashing yellow lights on the entrance ramps today when merging onto I-270. The lights are expected to become fully operational next month. The ramp lights are apart of the I-270 Corridor Innovative Congestion Management project that Governor Larry Hogan announced back in 2016.

The MCDOT will resuming charging late fees for unpaid tickets beginning today, August 1. MCDOT had suspended late fees on parking tickets in March of 2020 in order to prevent undue hardship to customers during the COVID-19.

On Sunday, August 1, Southbound Wisconsin Avenue (MD-355) will be closed between Somerset Terrace and South Park Avenue in Friendship Heights. The closure is scheduled from 7AM to 7PM, weather and progress permitting.

Northbound traffic on Wisconsin Avenue will not be totally diverted, however the left northbound lane will also be closed.
