The National Capital Trolley Museum, on Bonifant Road in Colesville, has reopened for Saturday visits.
They will be open on Saturdays only until further notice. Saturdays the Museum is open from 12PM to 5PM. Saturday afternoons, the Museum hosts hourly guided tours and rides on the Museum’s fleet of historic streetcars.
Accident on Georgia Ave. and Forest Glen Road, Some Lanes Blocked

MCDOT Hosting “Virtual Safety Week”
The Montgomery County Department of Transportation is hosting it’s 2nd annual “Virtual Safety Week” now through May 21. Virtual Safety Week aims to remind children and parents about the importance of pedestrian, bicycle and traffic safety.
Montgomery County Reminds Residents that Federal Regulations Continue to Require Face Coverings on Public Transportation—Including Taxis, Ride Sharing, Ride On, Ride On Extra and Flash Bus
The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) reminds residents that Federal guidelines continue to require face coverings when traveling by public transportation. Local examples include County Ride On buses, Ride On extra, Flash, Metrobus, Metrorail and when taking taxis or on-demand car services. All MCDOT buses have a supply of face coverings for those who do not have their own. At this time, the Federal requirement is scheduled to remain in effect through Sept. 13.
Uber & Lyft Offering Free Rides to Vaccine Appointments
In an effort to help individuals who don’t have access to transportation, the Biden Administration announced last week that they were partnering with rideshare companies Uber and Lyft to provide free rides to anyone going to and from a vaccination site.

Maryland Transportation Authority Police Officer Struck on the ICC
Around 12:30PM Thursday, a Maryland Transportation Authority Police Officer was struck by a passing SUV on the ICC. The Officer was on the right shoulder of the Westbound ICC/MD-200 near MM 11.4, between New Hampshire Avenue and Layhill Road.
