Deaf and blind swimmer Becca Meyers from Baltimore has pulled out of the Paralympics after being told the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee will not allow her to bring her mother to Tokyo as her personal care assistant.

Montgomery County Police held a press conference this evening to discuss details of the officer involved shooting at the McDonald’s located at 18273 Flower Hill Way in Gaithersburg that occurred Friday around 10pm. They announced that the man shot in the incident was named Ryan LeRoux, 21, of Gaithersburg.
