12:16pm update: MCPD reports that a suspect is in custody.

Police have cleared Clarksburg High School to lift from lockdown status and resume normal school operations. Other schools in the area have been cleared to exit from shelter-in-place.


David A. Blair, 27, of Clarksburg, plead guilty today to a felony count of civil disorder related to his participation in the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

According to a report by WMAR Baltimore, Blair attached a confederate flag to a lacrosse stick and used it to assault an officer in the chest.


The national anthem for today’s Title IX commemorative stamp ceremony will be performed by Clarksburg High School Senior Jeanne Lubikae.

The first-day ceremony by the United States Department of Education for its four Title IX commemorative forever stamps will take place at 11am this morning at the U.S. Department of Education, 400 Maryland Ave., Washington, D.C.


Industry Veteran Kyle Williams named VP of Commercial Business Development

In the most recent planning board documents, the area will be getting a gas station/convenience store, wine store, coffee shop (with Drive-Thru), automobile service, ATM kiosk, and drug store (with Drive-Thru). As of now, the CVS and gas station have been constructed, but work continues.
