UPDATE: Due to Covid, the reopening has been delayed. No new date currently, but renovations have already started.
Back in 2017 a local pastry chef attempted to raise money to bring back The Cider Barrel. Her efforts fell short and the barrel remained unusual on the side of 355.

Ulta Beauty, an America beauty chain with over 1,000 stores that carry cosmetics, skincare brands, men’s and women’s fragrances, nail products, bath & body products, beauty tools, hair care products, and is equipped with a salon, brow bar, and skin bar, is coming to the Neelsville Village shopping center in Germantown.
The store will be located where Dress Barn is currently located and plans to open in late 2020.

CM Chicken is coming to Germantown– taking over the space that was home to Johnny’s Kabob Restaurant (12933 Wisteria Drive) in Germantown Plaza.
Originally started in South Korea, CM Chicken specializes in Texas-Korean-style fried chicken. On the menu, expect to see items like red hot pepper chicken, garlic spicy chicken, curry chicken, fried chicken, bacon spinach chicken, lemon spring onion chicken and tikku soy sauce chicken gizzards, along with sides such as rice, coleslaw and fried calamari.
Last November we broke the news of Mission BBQ taking over the old Ruby Tuesday location in Germantown (19800 Century Blvd).
In May, we let you know the company was shooting for a November opening. We spoke with Mission BBQ today and were told that they now plan to open on January 13th, 2020.
The turf is down at Topgolf Germantown!
Topgolf was announced back in 2016 and broke ground last December. Originally the golf entertainment complex planned to open in December, but we are told they are currently aiming for a late January 2020 opening.
August 32 is now open in the Germantown Town Center. They specialize in “tea, tea drinks, bubble tea, and tea-related products.”
