Tortacos Germantown reopened today, but sadly the Gaithersburg location has closed permanently.
In an announcement made today, the popular taco spot announced that it would be reopening the Germantown location (13024 Middlebrook Rd.) this morning at 11am.
When the recycling truck that Jamal Leonard was working off of broke down in front of Germantown resident Laurel Weetall’s house, she noticed the employee of the MoCo Department of Environmental Protection working even harder.
Michael Doggett, an English teacher at Hallie Wells Middle School, received a Twilight Award (sponsored by Box Tops for Education and General Mills) last night on Instagram Live from Chance the Rapper. With that award came a $30,000 prize that will be split between the teacher and the school he works at.

Manhattan Pizza will be taking over the Pizza 500 location in Clarksburg (23222 Stringtown Rd.).
Manhattan Pizza is a local chain with a dozen locations in the DMV (mainly Virginia with two locations in Frederick County).
Simon Property Group, who owns and operates Clarksburg Premium Outlets, announced they will be closing until March 29th.
“After extensive discussions with federal, state and local officials and in recognition of the need to address the spread of COVID-19, Simon will close all of its retail properties, including Malls, Premium Outlets and Mills in the U.S. This measure will take effect from 7pm local time today and will end on March 29.”
March 18 UPDATE: Jimmie Cone has announced that they have “made the very difficult decision to close up shop while this crisis continues.
