According to the sign below, a development application has been filed by Mission BBQ. It would include the addition of outdoor seating.
Glen Bernie-based Mission BBQ currently has one other MoCo location, in Rockville. The first restaurant opened on September 11th, 2011 and they’re currently up to nearly 50 restaurants in over 10 states.
A few months later we heard from Jorge Portalea’s Washington Metropolitan Business Brokers, who confirmed the new location.
Last November it was announced the the restaurant would be opening in February of 2018, but after jumping through every necessary hoop, the restaurant has announced they’ll be opening next month.
It’ll be located in the shopping center that’s home to Safeway on Main Street.

The story has been passed down for many generations and many have told tales about the supposed unmarked grave of the headless man. Some have recalled strange noises and apparitions with glowing eyes. Others have seen the figure of a headless soldier (sometimes on a horse and sometimes without it).
A report that came out a few few months ago mentioned Ruby Tuesday closing 51 locations nation-wide this summer, but it seemed as if Germantown was safe. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to survive this round.
A new location will open soon in the Seneca Meadows shopping center in Germantown.

I spoke with a Zoes Kitchen employee who told me that tomorrow, Sunday, 9/30, will be their last day.
We’re told the closing does not have anything to do with Zoes being acquired by Cava and that it was due to issues with the landlord.
