Montgomery County Police responded to a shooting on Wednesday, April 24, in Germantown.
Germantown’s SkyPoint Federal Credit Union (SkyPoint), a community-based financial institution “who makes banking simple and accessible” announced that they will be featured on season two of the award-winning reality TV series, Opportunity Knock$, airing on PBS, as the financing institution that provides financing to a family in the DMV to help them overcome their financial challenges and build a better life. The series is set to air on Saturday, May 4 at 5:30 ET, on WETA Metro and Sunday, May 5 at 10 a.m. ET on WETA PBS HDTV.
According to Montgomery County Police, a 16-year-old Clarksburg High School student has been arrested and charged with possession of a firearm.
Clarksburg principal Anita O’Neill sent a message informing the school community that a student was found with an unloaded gun in their possession at school on Tuesday, April 23. The student was arrested by police. The full message can be seen below:
Germantown Event Sees Approximately 150 Firearms Turned in, Including Ghost Guns and 3D-Printed Guns
According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, around 150 firearms were turned in at the Interfaith Gun Buyback event held Sunday, April 20 in Germantown.
