Back in November it was reported that La Madeleine French Bakery and Cafe in Bethesda has closed permanently. The Downtown Silver Spring and Pike & Rose locations closed back in 2017, while the Downtown Crown location remains open (we were told there are no current plans to close the location).

La Madeleine is known for it’s cafeteria style ordering and French farmhouse decor and now you have the opportunity to bid on all of the restaurant’s equipment and some of its decor.

The online auction description reads the following:

”La Madeleine Has Closed Its Doors Permanently And Is Liquidating All Remaining Assets. Located in Bethesda, MD 20814. Local Pickup Only.  Shipping Is Not Available. Online only in which the auction starts closing at 11am on Thursday, May 6, 2021. The first 3 items in catalog order will close at 11am, then 3 items per minute, thereafter. If there are any bids in the final 3 minutes, that item(s) will be extended for 3 additional minutes, and keep extending as long as there is a bid in the 3 minute extension(s).Preview: By appointment on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 10am-2pm. A link will appear here the day before the preview date to sign up for an appointment.

Removal: By appointment on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 9am-5pm & Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 9am-5pm.  There will be a link on paid invoices to sign up for time slots on Sign Up Genius.  Local pickup only. No items will be shipped.”
