Gaithersburg and Silver Spring both cracked the top ten of Wallethub’s “2021 Most & Least Diverse Cities in the U.S.” list again this year. Some will note that Silver Spring and other areas included in the list aren’t technically cities, but many areas listed are census designated places. Germantown comes in just outside of the top ten at 12, while Rockville comes in at 34.

Earlier this year, Wallethub released their “2021’s Most & Least Ethnically Diverse Cities in the U.S.” list and Montgomery County also had a strong showing there, but it is unclear as to what changed the rankings in the last few months (Gaithersburg, Germantown, Silver Spring, and Rockville all came in the top seven on that list). WalletHub is a personal finance website that branched into producing research reports and surveys on topics with varying degrees of relevance to personal finance.

Pettit Companies has announced the ground breaking of “North Pointe at Flower Hill”, a new 16,000 SF retail and restaurant center located at 18251 Flower Hill Way in Gaithersburg. The project is located behind the new Gentleman Jim’s location, which is a sister property to this project and other Flower Hill properties.

We’re told the anchor tenant will be a restaurant with a roof top terrace area for dining.  The property will also have outdoor seating, signage, car charging stations, curb side/mobile pickup areas, extensive landscaping, and on-site property management.
