Maryland Board of Education Votes to Mandate Masks for All Schools
Today the Maryland State Board of Education voted 11-1 for an emergency regulation to require all children and adults to wear masks in public schools statewide. This decision was made in an effort to preserve in-person learning as the Delta variant spreads at alarming rates.
Montgomery County to Require County Employees to be Vaccinated by September 18
During yesterday’s weekly media briefing, County Executive Marc Elrich announced that county employees will have until September 18th to show proof of vaccination, or be subject to regular testing.

Governor Hogan Receives COVID Booster Shot; Announces 80% of Maryland Adults Vaccinated By Labor Day
Governor Larry Hogan announced this morning on CBS Face the Nation that he received his third COVID-19 shot this past Monday. The “booster” shot is currently recommended to those who are immunocompromised. Hogan was diagnosed with stage three non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2015 and was declared cancer free in 2016.
