Harris Teeter, a grocery store chain based out of North Carolina with locations in the Mid-Atlantic and east coast states in the south, sent an email to customers letting them know that all store locations will be closing at 9pm starting Monday, January 10th:

Per the email, the change will be made to focus on restocking and cleaning stores.

“We believe that closing early will allow associates to: process ExpressLane orders ahead of time, restock and organize shelves, ensure excellent closing to better prepare for the following day and make certain our stores are a clean, safe place to work and shop.”

There are seven Harris Teeter locations in Montgomery County– Bethesda, Clarksburg, Gaithersburg, Germantown (often referred to as the Darnestown location), North Bethesda, Olney, and Potomac.

The email sent to customers can be seen below.
