“Free packets of masks will be distributed in Rockville from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18 as part of the Maryland Department of Health’s #MasksOnMaryland campaign to encourage all Marylanders to wear face coverings in public places to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In a press release today, Montgomery County Officials wrote out guidelines that the County recommends residents to follow during the upcoming holidays.

Free COVID Testing in MoCo–And Where To Find Rapid Tests
This week, there are a number of free walk-in and drive-thru testing events that going on in MoCo. These tests are provided for free. No appointment or doctor’s order is necessary.
At-Home COVID-19 Tests Coming To MoCo
Residents of Takoma Park, Silver Spring, and Gaithersburg will have access to at-home COVID-19 tests beginning this week.
MoCo Covid Testing Locations Changed
Due to extreme heat this week, several COVID-19 locations have been relocated across MoCo.
New Montgomery County program connects people who have a bike to donate to people who need one. The program aims to help to ease COVID-19 transportation difficulties. Citizens are able to apply to either donate a bike to someone in need, or to receive a bike from another donor. The program matches donors with recipients, offering a COVID-safe opportunity to help people within the community.
They ask that bikes only be offered if they are in ready-to-ride condition. Exchanges are made in public places or county-designated exchange zones that are outdoor and contactless, however it is still asked that both parties wear masks and gloves.
Last month, we shared that CVS was offering Drive up COVID-19 testing at three locations in MoCo. They have since added one more location, and are now offering testing at the following places:
