Local Photographer, Jordan “Jah” Henson, Documents the State of MoCo Basketball Courts Throughout the Pandemic in His #CovidCourts Series
Jordan “Jah” Henson, a Rockville resident for all of his 40 years, felt the restlessness and urge to create during the height of Covid restrictions.
Henson has been a MoCo guy all of his life, attending Meadow Hall Elementary School, Earl B. Wood Middle School and Rockville HS. He always wanted to photograph the local basketball courts he played on during the rain to catch certain reflection visuals and the surrounding architecture and he knew he wouldn’t have to worry about people at the courts during the initial height of the pandemic.
As time went on and the restrictions lingered, Henson set a goal of documenting at least 3-4 courts a day that he could visit where the baskets were altered or completely removed. That’s how his #covidcourts project was born.
You can find Henson’s series, along with other wonderful photos of the area on his instagram @Alexander_jah or his website www.alexanderjah.com
