Larry Hurd, current head coach of the Walter Johnson High School football team, will be inducted into the Quince Orchard High School hall of fame this evening.

Hurd, who attended Quince Orchard from 1988-1992, was a member of the state championship winning football team in 1991.

He won’t be able to attend the ceremony due to coaching obligations, but had the following to say:

“Good Morning Family and Friends,

Tonight, I will not be able to make the Hall of Fame Ceremony at the Quince Orchard High School football game due to coaching responsibilities at Walter Johnson, where I currently serve as the Head Football Coach. Please extend my most sincere thanks to Quince Orchard High School, the 1991 Football Team and all the fans and community members that supported us in our state championship journey of 1991. Thank you to the committee members for the selection. It is a true honor.

Congratulations to all of this years inductees and I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night at the banquet.

Larry Hurd Jr.
Quince Orchard High School
1988-1992”
