Governor Larry Hogan today announced that the State of Maryland will double the reward first announced by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Baltimore Field Division for information about a person of interest in the fatal fire that led to the deaths of three firefighters earlier this week.

Earlier today Governor Larry Hogan tweeted that nearly $9 million in tax credits would be awarded by the Maryland Higher Education Commission. “Since its launch in 2017, over 40,600 residents have benefited from @MDMHEC’s Student Loan Debt Relief Tax Credit Program. Today we are awarding an additional nearly $9 million in tax credits to over 9,000 Marylanders with student loan debt.”

In addition, the state’s health metrics continue to substantially improve, with COVID-19 hospitalizations dropping at the fastest rate in the United States.

With Americans quitting their jobs at record rates during the so-called “Great Resignation,” personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2022’s States With the Highest Job Resignation Rates.

WalletHub ranked the 50 states and the District of Columbia based on how frequently people are leaving their places of employment. Maryland came in 46th, which gives our state the 6th lowest resignation rate in the country., with a 2.3% resignation rate in both the last month and the last 12 months.

In a social media post from Governor Larry Hogan this morning, it was revealed that Maryland’s First Lady Yumi Hogan has tested positive for Covid-19.

“As part of our weekly testing regimen, the First Lady tested positive for COVID-19. Having been vaccinated and boosted, she is only experiencing mild symptoms. She will quarantine at Government House. I received negative rapid and PCR tests.
