Per MCDOT:

Montgomery County will join in the worldwide celebration of “Transit Driver Appreciation Day” on Friday, March 18, with County Executive Marc Elrich presenting a proclamation recognizing the day at 12:30 p.m. at the Silver Spring Bus Depot. County Executive Elrich will be joined by County Department of Transportation Director Chris Conklin, UFCW Local 1994 MCGEO President Gino Renne and other County representatives.


Bethesda

Rehab 2 Perform, which currently has six locations in the D.C. metro area, including in Bethesda and Germantown, was ranked #82 on Inc. Magazine’s List of the Mid-Atlantic Region’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies.

According to a press release, Rehab 2 Perform had a two-year revenue growth of 119%.


Kensington

Update: The open house has now been extended through June 11.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be holding public tours at the famous Washington D.C. Temple this spring, the first time it will be open to the public since 1974.


Bethesda

The “Once Upon A Prom” club will be holding a prom dress giveaway on Friday, April 1 at Bethesda Chevy Chase Highschool (4301 East-West Hwy) from 12-6pm.

The club, which is run by BCC High School sophomores Brooke Silver and Anna Antinolfi, is currently in its 12th year. It was started by the second oldest of six sisters, Carly Silver, who then passed the baton to her next oldest sister, Peyton, who, in turn, passed it to her next oldest sister, Madison—-and the continuum has played out through all six sisters.
