Kumbia, a South American restaurant focusing on cuisine from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Brazil, and Ecuador, is coming to 100 B Gibbs Street in Rockville Town Square, the former location of Spice Xing. The restaurant is expected to open this winter.
Update: Off-Duty Officer Rescues Woman and Teen From Vehicle Fire on Montgomery Avenue and East West Highway in Bethesda
Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Pete Piringer reports that just before 7pm on Tuesday evening, MCFRS were notified that a vehicle had collided with a tree on Montgomery Avenue and East West Highway and that the vehicle was on fire.
New Brewery Coming to Poolesville
Landmade Brewery is opening this November in Poolesville. The farm brewery, which is being built in a repurposed cattle stable, will be located on Jerusalem Road and will include a tasting room, an in-house run food truck, and a general store.
Hispanic Heritage Celebration Art Exhibit in Gaithersburg
The City of Gaithersburg is hosting a Hispanic Heritage art exhibit at Bohrer Park (506 S Frederick Ave) now through November 21. There will be a reception to meet the artists tonight from 7-8:30pm.
